SLoodle: 3D Online Learning for Second Life

Check out SLoodle, a new 3D online education system for the virtual world of Second Life, based on the popular open-source course management system known as Moodle. The project is integrating Moodle’s virtual learning environment into the 3D environment of Second Life, adding the 3D interactive capabilities of the virtual world atop Moodle’s course-managment tools. This sounds a brilliant idea to me. Instead of limiting yourself and your students to whiteboards, images and text, you can now offer fully interactive 3D objects, and let students build their own. Visit »SLoodle’s HQ« in Second Life, or get in touch with Jeremy Kabumpo (email jeremykemp AT yahoo.com) for more information.

Howdy neighbor! Very kind words.
I just stumbled on your studios around the corner from our Sloodleville on Hyperborea. I’m not gonna be terribly responsive to the email address you’ve posted above - better that everyone pile into the forums at www.sloodle.com. I have video of the concept mockup, BTW. Link: www.simteach.com/blog.
Big fan of your podcasts! More Torrid singing, please!!!
Would you be interested in interviewing us three Sloodle admins - two in UK and me in silicon valley?
Sloodle definitely has its potential but also its limits. Hopefully ongoing developments will help put to ease the concerns of more traditionally-minded educators who tend to steer away from such “playful” teaching mediums. I, myself, am already a big fan of this combination and look forward to things to come. : )
Sloodle is an effective tool for 3D Online Learning for Second Life. Our teacher introduce this to us. The software used are awesome!
WoW this Sooldle System is one of the best softwares I have seen for a long time but it really need a new generation of teachers who are aware of this new technique and start implementing.Really Awesome software.
