Myst rocket ship recreated in the virtual world of Second Life

Second Life resident aDen Ennui has built a faithful and impressive recreation of some of the artifacts from Robyn Miller’s ground-breaking video game, Myst. [Via Torley.] aDen posts from screens of his (her?) creations on a bit of a browser-choking Web page, but they’re worth checking out.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find reference to the in-world location of these artifacts. I poked around a bit and still couldn’t find the ship, but I did fly around Teladore Isle, where a group of Mystophiles (aDen included, apparently) is attempting to recreate much of the games. I love the idea of a virtual world being recreated within a viritual world. To visit, click in the SLurlPane at the top of the right column here (while the link lasts) or just click here. [<-- SL link]

A nice side note: Someone tipped off Miller himself to the build, and he mentions it kindly in a recent blog post — in which he also takes Linden Lab to task for not doing more to build community in their world, incidentally.
