Contribute to the Metaverse Roadmap

The Acceleration Studies Foundation, which is putting on the Metaverse Roadmap meeting in a couple of weeks (which I’ll be attending), has a call for participation out, asking interested parties to contribute any metaversal resources they come across to the Roadmap’s home page. Send links or news to roadmap [at] accelerating [dot] org, and stay tuned for the Metaverse Roadmap’s public wiki, which should help get public participation in the Roadmap off the ground. (And which should really be live by now, if you ask me.)

I’m not impressed so far. Out of 59 people, I see only 6 women, and it looks like it’s mainly North American white guys. Not to be politically correct and multi-culti and all that, but honestly, it looks just too cloistered. It’s a lot of the same faces you see, doing a lot of the stuff you already know. As you say, for something supposedly open to the public, a week or two before the grand opening, the wiki (bleh) should be open, but it isn’t. You click on the email — it goes nowhere, no nothing. Well, maybe this is a good thing. They can all go on the grand accelerated futuring march to the Metaverse and…we don’t *have* to follow them. We could go in another direction.
