[OP:] Second Life resident and filmmaker Pierce Portcarrero (who’s currently working on the Ideal World documentary on SL fashion designer Nephilaine Protagonst), was on hand for Thursday’s opening of the New Media Consortium campus in Second Life, and has posted some footage of the event on YouTube (although you can always just watch it above, of course). The clip is “not Emmy-award material,” as Pierce puts it, but that’s only because it’s a sneak peek at what will eventually be a longer, more polished piece, I think. In fact, it’s really cool, and shows off Second Life well. It also features a few of the Electric Sheep, talking about their contributions to the project and displaying a very nice scale model of the SL campus that they built to show the NMC before actual work began.
